[[LIVE@STREAM-tV] Kansas City Chiefs vs Chicago Bears Live Coverage Free NFL Preseason 13 Aug 2022

Chiefs vs Bears odds, expert picks and predictions: Kickoff time, streaming and channel

The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the main favorites to win the Super Bowl. The Chicago Bears have one of the lowest win total lines (6.5) in the NFL. In the regular season this matchup would generate a lopsided line, but who knows in the preseason.

The Bears were favored for this one, but news that Patrick Mahomes will play helped shift the line. The expectation shouldn’t be for him to play much, but that does show Kansas City is willing to play its starters for at least a bit. Neither team will want its quarterback to get hurt, obviously, but Justin Fields has more to gain from extra reps with a new coach and something to prove as an NFL quarterback.

Mahomes is likely to be in bubble wrap quickly in this one. He had just two pass attempts in the preseason opener last season.

As always, how much starters will play in a preseason game is uncertain for fans and bettors. New Bears coach Matt Eberflus said his starters will play in this game, but was somewhat vague as far as how long that will last.

The Bears have had a number of players missing practice this week with injuries, including running back David Montgomery and tight end Cole Kmet.

As for storylines, Eberflus will have his first taste of Soldier Field on a game day with Saturday’s preseason opener against the Chiefs. The coach he replaced, Matt Nagy, is back with the Chiefs as quarterbacks coach.

What are the odds for Bears vs. Chiefs

Where can I watch or stream the Bears vs. Chiefs game?

This game will air nationally on NFL Network at 1 p.m. Eastern Saturday. Locally, it will air on FOX 32 in Chicagoland and KSHB 41 in the Kansas City area. It will also be streamed on the NFL app.

Expert pick for Bears vs. Chiefs

Preseason records don’t mean much, but the Chiefs were 3-0 in last year’s preseason and have the same top three quarterbacks with Chad Henne and Shane Buechele behind Mahomes. Buechele went 37-for-55 with 422 yards, four TD passes and two interceptions last preseason as a rookie. Mahomes and Henne, 37, don’t need much from the preseason and Buechele has shown he can move the offense in an exhibition setting. That sounds better than the Bears dealing with a rash of injuries. The oddsmakers showed they agreed with this stance after moving the Bears from a 3.5-point favorite to a 1-point underdog.
